•    Pain in the back
•    Restriction of back movements
•    Back pain accompanied by numbness of one or both legs

•    Back pain radiating to the foot or knee
•    Dizziness or disturbance of vision related to neck posture
•    Difficulty standing up after sitting for prolonged periods
•    Back pain after standing for a prolonged period of time

People with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are at increased risk of death from heart disease and other cardiovascular events due to RA-related inflammation and other risk factors, a new study indicates. It also found that treating RA inflammation with disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) and the risk factors for heart disease reduced the risk. 

The study included more than 400 patients who were followed for five years after being diagnosed with RA.

The musculoskeletal system includes bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, and bursae (fluid-filled sacs). Any of these components can be injured by trauma or affected by a number of diseases causing joint, tendon, and muscle problems.
